A'nS Inspect is locally owned and operated by Joe and Tina Cline, and their dog Sienna, a standard chocolate poodle who loves everyone. We are local residents of Mechanicsburg, grew up in the area and gained a great satisfaction from being able to help people. Joe has been in the inspection and construction field for over 25 years and has developed a true appreciation for buildings of all types. What a great way to make a living, doing something you thoroughly enjoy, as well as, helping someone in the purchase of their new home!
Joe's interest in construction began at the age of 10, while assisting his father build their family home and several buildings on their farm. Following the experience of his youth, he accepted employment at various companies: Giant Food stores, Ford Motor Company, etc., but his heart was in the construction field.
While earning a college degree, he also worked alongside a master finish carpenter who specialized in building staircases and hanging handrails (one of the single most detailed and difficult jobs in construction). Almost 5 years later, his mentor died of a heart attack, and this left him with his own company. He did a fair amount of general construction; homes, garages, additions, staircases, and a lot of roofing.
After five years of running his company, Joe was lured into the corporate world. He was offered a position with the largest commercial/industrial roofer in the United States, as the Eastern Region Tech/Sales Manager, which covered 15 states. He sold, designed, installed, and inspected hundreds of roofs for warranty approval. In 1988, after a bad fall off a ladder, he decided a new career path was needed.
Joe then took a position with one of our local, very high-end general contractors, as the general superintendent of construction. He oversaw the construction of many buildings, from high-end residential, apartment, townhouse, and commercial buildings totaling many many millions of dollars. He did this for ten years, and of course, all of these buildings needed to be inspected. He really came to love the inspection part of the job and decided this was his calling.
Much certification is required to do this type of work properly, so Joe went back to school to become fully certified. So you can be sure when he comes to do your home inspection, you will get an inspector who is:
Before you take delivery on your new home, be sure it is inspected by a trained, certified inspector who is a full member of "ASHI".
